Trattoria Romana
Just a few minutes from Providence in Lincoln, Rhode Island Trattoria Romana offers homemade Italian food, attentive staff and decor that evokes the spirit of Italy.

I found Trattoria Romana via a google search as I was looking for a new place to check as we were going to be in the Lincoln area that day.
The restaurant was bustling when we visited, which made taking photos tricky, but the warm, dark hues and soft lighting created a really inviting ambiance.
Thanks to a reservation we were seated quickly and a member of the staff came over will water and fresh bread and olive oil for dipping. So far, so good! 🙂
As we looked through the menu, I knew it wasn’t going to be an easy decision. Trattoria has a menu that features not only Italian classics but specialty dishes as well. To be honest, I always have a difficult time deciding what to eat when there’s pizza on the menu. I know that seems like a boring choice for most but being lactose intolerant for over 35 years meant Pizza was not an option. Now, thanks to modern medicine, I want Pizza and Ice Cream every day!!!! LOL!
Everything going past our table looked and smelled amazing so I decided to order a pizza as an appetizer and a pasta dish for my main course. This way I was almost guaranteed to have leftover pizza!!
The Margherita Pizza ($18.95) immediately won me over. Its blistered crust was perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining soft and airy inside, topped with bright tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant fresh basil. One bite was all it took to be smitten.
The pictures do not provide an accurate portrayal of the food as the low lighting and close proximity of the tables made it difficult to get good pictures. I always feel like people look at us like we’re a little bit crazy when we start taking pictures of our food.

Jessica ordered the Spaghetti alle Vongole ($24.95), which proved to be a standout dish. Tender clams were nestled among silky strands of pasta, all coated in a light, garlicky sauce. The flavors were bold yet beautifully balanced, allowing the natural freshness of the ingredients to shine without ever feeling overpowering. Jessica thoroughly enjoyed every bite.

The Spaghetti and Meatballs( $23.95) offered pure comfort—rich, sweet tomato sauce clinging to the pasta, and the meatballs were juicy, and well-seasoned. It’s not a dish I order often but I absolutely loved it!! There were other dishes I wanted to try, but if we found ourselves back at Trattoria, I would order it again! 🙂
We were almost at our limit but wanted to have something sweet to finish off the night. Jessica chose the Cheesecake ( $11.95) and I ordered the Strawberry Romana cake ( $12.95). We enjoyed both but, in our excitement, didn’t take any pictures.
From start to finish, our experience was a positive one. The food delivered on both flavor and quality, the prices felt fair, and the overall experience left us impressed. It’s the kind of place that invites a return visit, and one we’d encourage our readers to check out for themselves.
We both agreed we found a gem thanks to my google search. I also learned there are a total of five Trattoria locations in Rhode Island and Massachusetts so be sure to google Trattoria Romana for all their locations. https://trattoria-romana.com/
We hope you’ll pay a visit to one of the Trattoria locations, and as always don’t forget to tell them that Two Girls sent you!
Happy Spooning!
Sara and Jessica 🙂
